Mistrial in the William Porter murder case.
William Porter isn't a free man but he's certainly walking out the courtroom feeling a little bit free.
The jury in the involuntary manslaughter case ruled in a mistrial. The Baltimore Police officer who drove the van where Freddie Gray sustain the fatal injuries
The trial started back in November and it ended with a hung jury. The jury informed Judge Barry G. Williams that they were unable to reach a unanimous verdict on any of the four charges, including the most serious charge of manslaughter. Williams declared a mistrial. An administrative court hearing will be held on Thursday to schedule a retrial date.
Legal experts told The New York Times this month that the verdict in Porter’s case could possibly set the tone for the trials of the five other officers. Prosecutors seek to use Porter as a material witness against at least two of them.
Gray sustained a spinal cord injury while riding in the police van in April. During the ride, his feet and hands were shackled, but he was not buckled in with a seatbelt. Medical experts who spoke with The Baltimore Sun about Gray’s injuries likened them to those seen in “victims of high-speed crashes.”
The prosecution has argued that Porter's failure to buckle Gray's seatbelt before the van pulled away makes him partially responsible for Gray's death. Porter admitted that he did not buckle Gray into the van because he had never seen another officer do so in approximately 150 other arrests during his time on the force.
Porter and his attorneys maintained that Officer Caesar Goodson, one of the officers charged and the driver of the van, ignored Porter’s advice that Gray needed medical assistance.
Porter took the witness stand on Dec. 9 and informed the jury of seven women and five men that he has never discharged his firearm, or used mace or a taser while on duty.
“People had negative views of police,” Porter said. “I wanted to give people a different view to police … I was always fair.”

Colleen Ritzer was murdered by a student in a Massachusetts school.
A teenager was convicted of first degree murder in the death of a beloved teacher. The teen now age 16 is now facing LIFE in the iron college if the jury decides to serve him hard.
Philip Chism had followed Colleen Ritzer into a woman's restroom. He was caught on surveillance camera going in. He would end up beating her badly, stabbing her and raping her. He cut her body apart and then calmly walk out the restroom with a recycling bin,
On his way home, he would bury her body parts in the woods and a recycling bin.
After he buried the body, he went to the movie and grabbed him a bite to eat.
Chism was caught on camera leaving the woman's restroom.
They wanted his ass tried as an adult. He knew his intentions.
Chism's defense said that he had a moment of insanity. The prosecutors said that he had a crush on the teacher and wanted her affections. She spurned him and he decided to get revenge on her.
Colleen was a popular teacher. She devoted her life to teaching mathematics and helping students achieve a dream.
Chism's disgusting behavior murdered this young woman.
A smile that lights up the room. Colleen's family vows to keep Chism in the iron college for a long time.
The first opportunity for parole would first come after he serves 15 to 25 years. That's if he's lucky, cause I can imagine the Ritzer family would love to see this MAN spend the rest of his LIFE in the iron college.
His mother declined to talk to reporters as she left the courthouse.
Standing later with the district attorney that prosecuted the case, Ritzer's parents said the verdicts mark a new phase in their lives in which they hope to honor their 24-year-old daughter's legacy.
"This guilty verdict, while the beginning of justice for Colleen, is certainly no cause for celebration as there can never be true justice for the crime committed," said Thomas Ritzer, her father.
"There remains a tremendous absence in our lives, one that sadly can never be replaced."
The family, he added, will still be reminded of the crimes as Chism appeals the case and is eligible for parole at some point.
"We will carry on and do our very best to find the good in every day," said Peggie Ritzer, the victim's mother.
Chism's lawyers are also expected in court in Boston on Wednesday as he faces separate charges of attempted murder and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after he allegedly attacked a state Department of Youth Services worker in June 2014 while awaiting trial.
Chism wipes tears as he hears his world will be surrounded by bars.
They say he choked and beat her before other workers intervened. The unnamed worker suffered injuries to her face, jaw, neck and back.
Chism will face charges for that attack as well. He is innocent until proven guilty in this incident.

A father of three was killed by the LAPD while on his knees.
The Los Angeles Police Department once again faces another fatal encounter with a suspect. The suspect was shot and killed by two lawmen 33 times. Many say that the suspect was on his knees crawling when they kept firing on him. He would die on the scene.
The LAPD was called to the Lynwood neighborhood on reports of a man firing a firearm in the air.
When they responded to the threat, they noticed that Nicholas Robertson was heading in another direction. They confront him on the suspicion of having a firearm.
According to the LAPD, the deputies told him to drop his piece.
They said that he pointed the piece at them. So they had no choice but to fire upon him.
It seems like the lawman may face some heat. A witness decided to whip out the camera and record the encounter. It seems like Nicholas was walking away from the suspects.
The witness zoomed in on the suspect as the LAPD starts plugging.
KTLA reports that once on the ground, the camera panned to focus solely on the man, who crawls next to the gas station and away from the gunfire.
![]() |
The law starts plugging.
The camera then panned back to two deputies, who both had arms raised and were pointing guns in the man's direction.
At least one of the deputies then fired additional shots before the video ends.
It was not clear from the video if both deputies had fired their weapon, but when slowed down, more than 30 shots can be heard.
Hernandez could only confirm multiple shots were fired.
Investigators were aware of at least one video that recorded the fatal incident.
On the ground and they're still plugging.
Many residents are crying foul. They believed that the lawmen used excessive force.
Now the Los Angeles prosecutor has placed the lawmen on ice pending a preliminary hearing.
World News Today send our condolences to the family of Nicholas Robertson.
This video is disturbing.

A couple in Washington was being brutalized by a group of men who didn't approve of their relationship. The couple didn't know their attackers, but they've figured that since they're an interracial couple, the men attacked them.
Serigne Diouf and his girlfriend were leaving a local bar in Bellingham. They got into a confrontation with three White guys outside the bar. They get to shouting and yelling at one another.
Next thing you know, the suspect, Mario Zamora five knuckles rolls the woman in the face.
Then the video goes right into Serigne running after the suspect and his friends. Then of course, the girlfriend gets up and tries to retaliate.
The law came on the scene told everyone involved to break it up. The person who recorded this didn't bother to intervene. He wanted to post it to the hip-hop agitator WorldStarHipHop.
At first, the law did not watch the video, and declined to file charges against anyone at the time. The law believed that everyone was drunk and that no one was seriously injured.
Serigne said he doesn't touch the Jesus juice. Why they didn't bust the guy who put a shiner on his girlfriend's face?
The law later reviewed the video and decided to arrest Zamora on suspicion of fourth-degree assault. The other men were not expected to face charges.
Police Sgt. Mike Scanlon told The Bellingham Herald that the men could not be charged with a hate crime just for using racial slurs.
Diouf, who is black, insisted that the men had ran up on them because they were a mixed-race couple. He said that he still wants to see all of the men charged.
"Because I am a black man they jumped on me and called me a NIGGER," he observed.

I got an opportunity to check out the latest stories on Google+.
It seems like nothing is sacred anymore. This was mentioned by S. Baldwin.
I happened to click on Addicting Info and got an opportunity to shake my head in disgust over the heartless actions done to a homeless veteran.
In Philadelphia, the law is searching for the individuals who beat 51-year old Robert Barnes to death.
Robert Barnes before his death. He was hit over the head with a blunt object.
The people who were arrested were teenagers. They claimed that Robert got into an argument with one of the suspects.
Not only that, one of the suspect's mother, 34-year-old Aleathea Gillard, has been charged in the case, along with 24-year-old Shareena Joachim.
Three teens were also arrested and charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, simple assault and related offenses.
World News Today sends our condolences to the family of Robert Barnes.

Tulane University medical student Peter Gold is fighting for his life after he stopped a mugger. The mugger shot him and left him for dead.
In the city of New Orleans, the law is pleased that a perennial resident of the iron college is caught.
The junk food media turned its attention to the tragic shooting of a good samaritan. The Turlane University medical student, 25 year old Peter Gold gets shot in the stomach by this ignorant piece of shit for doing a good deed.
Peter witness an unknown woman being robbed by 21 year old Euric Cain.
Cain was wearing a hoodie and ran up on a drunken woman and tried to jack her up. Peter was driving nearby when he saw Cain try to take her to his ride. Peter hit the brakes, put the vehicle in reverse and then turned into the one way street to confront the suspect.
Most in law enforcement recommend you don't approach a suspect if they're armed. Peter knew the risk but he thought he could scare the suspect into running off.
Euric Cain was the guy on surveillance.
Cain wanted to put Peter down. He aims and fires. But nothing comes out. He tries again. Nothing happens. Cain reacts to the firearm jamming. He took off running leaving Peter bleeding to death.
Peter was rushed to the hospital where he is being treated for his injuries. His family can't confirm the condition of Peter but he said that its "guarded".
The New Orleans Police and U.S. Marshals were determined to grab this guy.
Cain was just arrested earlier this month for possession of a stolen cellphone during a carjacking.
He was out on bail when he committed this criminal act.
No remorse for his actions.
"Now he will likely spend the rest of his life in the jail, as he should," New Orleans mayor Mitch Landrieu said in a press conference.
New Orleans Chief of Police Michael Harrison said that Cain was an idiot. People knew where stayed. He was hiding under the covers of his underage girlfriend's bed. The girlfriend wanted to be a ride or die chick.
Now she faces charges for hiding a federal suspect.
Representatives from Tulane University told the junk food media that Peter was a four year medical student.
Friends say that Peter was the type of person who is willing to help others when there's a problem.
They say that Peter is a hero in their eyes.
Side chick faces charges for hiding a federal suspect in her bedroom. Nictoria Washington faces adult time in the iron college.
So this leads us to another poll on the Blame Game.
Now that the New Orleans Police captured the suspect in the shooting of Peter Gold, who really deserves the blame?
Cain is innocent until proven guilty. The charge of kidnapping automatically carries LIFE in the iron college.
World News Today sends our prayers to Peter Gold. We wish him a speedy recovery.

Amanda Blackburn (right) was killed by a robbery suspect. The husband was a local pastor of a church in Indianapolis.
The death of a preacher's wife caught the nation's attention.
Amanda Blackburn was three month pregnant when she was sexually assaulted and shot by this 18-year old Larry Taylor. Amanda was shot in cold-blood in front of her son.
Taylor along with three of his friends were involved in a burglary ring. They were targeting houses in the city of Indianapolis. They broke into homes and were stealing car keys, a laptop, and an iPhone from a home. They found a surveillance camera in the home and disconnected it. That right there was the first mistake they've made. By touching the surveillance camera, they were filmed by the camera and they left DNA on the wiring.
Taylor who had that "I don't give a fuck" mentality wanted to kill the occupant in the home because he was caught on camera. The suspects convinced him not to do it.
So they took off in a stolen ride and went into another home. They ended up robbing the home of a television, a laptop and jewelry. Then they decided to target another home. The home of Amanda and her husband Devey Blackburn the pastor of Resonate Church.
The law conducted the investigation. The suspects turned on Taylor. They said that Taylor hit Amanda in the mouth with his piece. He stayed behind as the other two used her ATM card to get money. Amanda made the fatal mistake of trying to reason with a cold blooded killer. She allegedly charged at Taylor, and he shot her at point blank range. Then he decided to put the final bullet in her head. He took joy in watching her bleed to death.
Taylor didn't know Amanda. It was just an unfortunate circumstance where a robbery was witnessed by a good samaritan and the robber wanted to leave no witnesses.
Davey returns from the gym to find his wife (the rock of his life) lying in a pool of blood. Davey made his whole life to helping the youth in the community. He and Amanda moved to the Indianapolis area a few years back to spread the gospel to the young, frustrated and abandoned.
Amanda was rushed to the hospital where she would die the next day.
Amanda was 28 at the time of her death. She was three months pregnant with her daughter. She leaves behind a son Weston and her husband Pastor Davey. Her unborn daughter Evie Grace was killed.
The law vowed to find these guys. They knew that these knuckleheads would slip up.
Larry Taylor and Jalen Watson are held on first degree murder charges. They are innocent until proven guilty. They could face the gas house if found guilty.
Taylor and 21 year old Jalen Watson are held in the Marion County Lockup on murder charges. They are cooperating with the third suspect. Name wasn't released at the time of posting. Even though the other two weren't involved in the shooting, these suspects are charged because they were involved in a criminal act that resulted in a murder.
They are innocent until proven guilty.
Pastor Davey wants to hate them. But he turned to Jesus Christ to learn forgiveness. He said that he choose love and not hate against the suspects.
Indianapolis Metro Police Department's gang and violent crime unit aided by the U.S. Marshals apprehended the suspects after they traced the usages of credit cards and DNA.
The moment I've heard gang unit, automatically assume Black suspect. Matter of fact, I expected that the conservatives and White extremist will automatically blame #BlackLivesMatter and Barack Obama for this.
Of course it merits a poll on The Blame Game.
Now that the Indianapolis Metro Police captured the suspects in the murder of Amanda Blackburn, who really takes the blame?
Now that you made the choice, I want to make it clear, that the suspects deserve the blame. Not President Barack Obama, #BlackLivesMatter, or the NRA.
It's unfortunate that gun crime is the NUMBER ONE THREAT in the United States. This is one of many incidents where firearms were used in the death of innocents. If the Republicans and Democrats lawmakers would look at gun crime as terrorism, they would see this type of stuff happen every freaking day in their states and districts.
These two could face the gas house if they're found guilty.
World News Today send our condolences to the family of Amanda Blackburn.

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 22, 2015Who is Trump going to piss off next?
It seems like The Donald wanted to ease tensions after a protester was roughed up at one of his rallies. He wanted to point out an ugly truth in the Black community. Unfortunately, he retweeted something that wasn't entirely right.
![]() |
Regardless, they will stick to the script.
Last year's FBI statistics show that the numbers in Trump's tweet are incorrect and appear to be aimed at perpetuating racist myths about black people and crime.
In 2014, about 82 percent of murders involving white victims were committed by other white people, while only 14 percent were committed by black people, according to the FBI.
Among murders involving black victims, just under 90 percent were committed by other black people, while 7 percent were committed by white people.
Crime experts have concluded that homicides are most likely to occur among people of the same race because people are usually murdered by someone they already know, and most people primarily know people of their own race.
The junk food media is buzzing about Donald Trump reposting this "statistic" on his official Twitter feed. This organization where he got this from doesn't exist. Matter of fact, it's gotten the attention of #BlackLivesMattter.
The protester wore a #BlackLivesMatter shirt at a Birmingham event. Once he exposed it to the crowd, he got jacked up.
The Trump supporters gave him a serious beat down. Someone filmed it posted it on social media.
Trump's anti-immigrant and racist rhetoric is a hallmark of his presidential campaign and has incited racism from his supporters.
![]() |
Still the front runner.
"Maybe he should have been roughed up," he said on Sunday.
Republicans and conservatives offer no real solutions to fixing America's problems. The only muscle being flexed by the candidates, the agitators and the lawmakers is their tongues.
Lack of common sense, education and compassion are as American as apple pie.
Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, Lindsey Graham, Ben Carson and the rest of the clowns running for the Republican nomination have no guts. They a bunch of cowards.

Minneapolis Police investigating death of unarmed man while in custody.
Back in the summer, the conservative agitators were pissed that members of the #BlackLivesMatter movement chanted "Pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon" at the Minnesota State Fair.
Many in law enforcement (i.e. Republican-elected lawmen) were saying that the rhetoric from Black Lives Matter inspires cop killings.
Black Lives Matter dismisses the criticism. The activists want the police reform. They want those in law enforcement held accountable for reckless calls. They say that the junk food media is trying to paint the group as domestic terrorist and the like.
If it wasn't for DeRay McKesson, Shaun White, and Bree Newsome, you wouldn't hear about the story of Jamar Clark.
Jamar was gunned down by the Minneapolis Police. According to the witnesses, he was shot by the law while being handcuffed.
The family quickly wen to social media to announce the death of Jamar. It got picked up by #BlackLivesMatter and now it's getting national attention.
The death of Jamar has the law doing an investigation to why deadly force was used in the encounter.
Jamar was suspected in an assault, and was interfering with emergency workers trying to provide aid to a victim. He was shot during a physical struggle, police said.
But witnesses say Jamar was not resisting arrest and was laying on the ground when he was shot, according to the NAACP.
The state takes over the investigation. The issue is still ongoing. The law hasn't released the names of the officers who were involved in the encounter.
![]() |
Minneapolis Police dispute the witness encounter of Jamar being shot while being detained.
Now protesters are demanding to view the video. They want the names of the officers who were placed in the freezer pending a grand jury decision.
Police Chief JaneĂ© Harteau said Sunday afternoon that her department’s preliminary information is that the man was not handcuffed when police shot him.
Anger and distrust fueled a rally called by Black Lives Matter Minneapolis that began at 3 p.m. at the shooting scene and continued into the evening a few blocks away outside the police department’s Fourth Precinct headquarters.
The protest began with about 250 people ringing the block where Clark was shot, to create a “no-cops zone.”
Rally speakers held firm to the view that Clark was handcuffed when shot and voiced doubt that a BCA probe could be impartial.
“I want to acknowledge that this is a very difficult situation for everyone involved: For members of our community, members of the Minneapolis Police Department and their families, and for the people that are standing here beside me,” Minneapolis Police Chief Janee Harteau said. “We need to know exactly what happened. We need to know the truth. Everyone involved needs that and deserves that.”
World News Today send our condolences to the family of Jamar Clark.

White terrorist got him some burgers and fries from the law.
President Barack Obama is getting ready to head down to Charleston to do an eulogy for state senator and pastor Clementa Pickney. Pickney and eight others were gunned down by a White terrorist who had nothing but hate in his heart.
As the court prepares state charges against this scumbag. There's revelations of pampered treatment for the terrorist.
Dylann Roof was arrested and taken back to Charleston. He was caught outside of rural North Carolina. The law was tipped off by a seamstress who was on her way to work.
As they approach his vehicle, they didn't have guns drawn. It was a calm arrest. I figured that a mass shooter would have officers with guns drawn and a forced drag out the vehicle.
They asked him for his identity and ordered him out the car.
As if the terrorist wanted to waive his Miranda's rights, the terrorist said can I get some food.
Much obliged says the law. They get him some Burger King.
Police in Shelby, N.C., reportedly bought the 21-year-old food from Burger King after he was taken into custody approximately 250 miles northwest of Charleston following a 16-hour manhunt.
Shelby Police Chief Jeff Ledford said that terrorist had bought water and chips from a gas station in Charleston earlier on Thursday, but hours had passed and he was hungry.
"He was very quiet, very calm. He didn't talk," Ledford told The Charlotte Observer. "He sat down here very quietly. He was not problematic."
Strickland Maddox, a pastor with Eskridge Grove Baptist Church in Shelby, N.C., also described what happened when police bought food from Burger King for the suspect.
"He hadn't eaten, they said, in a couple of days," Maddox told Yahoo News. "They bought him a hamburger. They just sent out for it. I guess one of the police officers went and picked it up."
Roof was charged on Friday with nine counts of murder and a weapons possession charge.
And with that said, comes the national outrage. Why would the law be so soft on a White mass shooter when they're so quick to shoot and kill Black men.
The judge who ordered him on lockup said that his family is the real victims. After all, Roof ruined his sister's wedding and his antics may have caused his family great harm. Now they're getting death threats and the wedding is off. Of course the judge who gave Roof the get out jail free card is off the bench.
He gets a special room next to accused murderer Michael Slager. Slager is the ex-cop who shot and killed unarmed victim Walter Scott after a routine pull over.
Such a criminal does have the right to a fair trial. He is innocent until proven guilty. He is entitled to getting food, water, phone call and opportunity to have a decent public defender.
This terrorist can't stop unity. His actions may have made Republicans do a political expediency. That damn flag isn't the problem.
As the president said it, "Racism is in our DNA".

Daddy dearest. Father in city lockup after leaving his child to die in a hot car. Wondering if the junk food media will realize that Marilyn Mosby will find ways to put this man in the iron college?
Father of the year.
Out of Baltimore, a father is now learning that parenthood is a 24/7 business. He somehow slept on the job. Literally this man got drunk on Father's Day and was partying while his 2-year old daughter was sitting in a vehicle with temperatures in the high 80s. That temperature in a car could rise to the 100s.
Wilbert Carter makes me sick. The 31 year old gives fathers a bad name. Especially since he's a Black man, he's already being criticized by them Black extremists who believe that THE BLACKS are unfit to be parents.
His daughter Leasia was left in the car for eight hours. The little girl would die because of heat stroke, and severe burns left on her body.
Carter was at the gas station guzzling up on a few 40 oz and lost track of his daughter. I guess he thought that if he was going to be on the road with a lick in his system, he would go to city lockup.
But unaware he brought his daughter. He was suppose to take her to his parents home.
Alas, he fucked up. Now he could face 30 years in the iron college for second degree murder.
World News Today send our condolences to the family of Leasia Carter.
Of course, cue the concern trolls.
Baltimore the city where police officers were indicted in the murder of Freddie Gray. Where a few days of rioting led to property damage, partisan blame and the rise of the #BlackLivesMatter movement. The agitators went with cameras in tow to Baltimore to catch rioters loot the liquor store while a few miles down the protesters were being ignored and the calls for reform weren't heard.
Leasia Carter was defenseless. Dad didn't bother taking his daughter out of a hot vehicle.
Baltimore indicted six cops and they are innocent until proven guilty. According to the racist right, Freddie Gray caused his injuries. He shouldn't take off running. He was a dope pusher. He put up a fight. And yet there's no camera evidence leaked showing him doing anything. The only video shown was the blood curling screams of a man who looked like he got slammed near a brick fence.
In the case of Wilbert Carter, he's guilty until proven innocent. They don't care. As long as he's Black, he's guilty.
I am guessing that Carter is already facing non-stop torture. Not only from his family, but the guilt of being a reckless father will stick with him for the rest of his life.

Things you shouldn't do on social media.
In the wake of a high profile mass shooting in South Carolina, some woman in Texas decided to make some political hay winds.
Thanks to Addicting Info, The Daily Dot and RacistGetFired for the tip.
Ashley Casey Martin claimed that she got jacked up by three assailants of the African decent. She and her daughter were shopping in a Texas Walmart and these disgusting criminals ruined it. Stop the press, here comes that asshat Colin Flaherty.
I bet that clown is running to the junk food media with his "gotcha" movement.
Not so fast, Colin. You've been stopped at the gate.
The junk food media outed your latest victim of "racial violence" and she may have concocted the injuries.
Martin who resides in Texarkana posted on social media that she got jacked up after she got into a confrontation with Black shoppers at a Walmart. According to her, they were cussing up a storm.
She told them to clam up. They got pissed. They gave the woman in a five finger knuckle sandwich.
This extremist may have inspired Charleston terrorist.
The Daily Dot was first to break this story. They got in contact with the Texarkana police and Walmart to see if any criminal charges were filed against the assailants.
They spoke with a security worker who said no incidents had been reported there within the past week.
The Daily Dot also showed the photos to Texarkana Police Department public information officer Mike Jones, who responded with an emailed statement.
Ashley's response to critics who say she faked her injuries.
So in other words, did this bitch lie about being attacked by Black men?
A defiant Martin said this clearly:
“Here is your police report. Sorry I got jumped by three African American young men. I have 2 black eyes and nose still is bleeding, and somehow I am in the wrong. Enough for people to say it was makeup, how embarassing and very rude quite frankly. I don’t want you pitty (sic) attention anything. I’m just warning there are dangerous people in Texarkana be careful. They did this to me for no reason in front of my 3 year old. At Texas side Walmart.”
She eventually scrubbed every freaking social media site she has her name attached too.
Ashley, look in the mirror, I think you may seen the danger! It's you!
Some interesting facts.
Texarkana is basically two cities that border Texas and Arkansas. The main road State Line Avenue divides the cities. The federal court building and post office sits on the state line. Texarkana is the midpoint towards the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and Little Rock through Interstate 30. Once completed Interstate 49 will continue through rural Arkansas and Texas. Portions of the interstate highway are segmented through Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas and Missouri. It will eventually connect from Kansas City to New Orleans. Future Interstate 69 will travel south of the cities and connect from Mexico to Canada.

Sonny Kim was an officer for the Cincinnati Police. He was gunned down by a suspect. He and the suspect were killed.
Again when the chips are down, the good ones die. And today, Cincinnati Police announced the death of 48 year old Sonny Kim, a 27 year veteran of the department.
He and others were responding to an erratic man in Madionsville. I am guessing the man decided to go out with a bang. In the firefight, Kim was injured gravely. He would die at the hospital. The chief Jeffery Blackwell express shock and sadness. He commended Kim as a great officer who done what was right for his community and the people he swore to protect.
World News Today send our condolences to family of Sonny Kim.
Kim immigrated from South Korea to settle in the city of Cincinnati. He would join the force in the 1990s and continue his work in public service.
The suspect 21 year old Tre Hummons would later die of his injuries and the city is sharing their thoughts on it. The Cincinnati Enquirer reports that details are emerging on what happened today.

Police got a call at 9:03 a.m. about a man with a gun. At 9:10 a.m., a second call came in to dispatchers. Nine minutes later, Kim responded. And seven minutes after that, at 9:26 a.m., frantic officers were hurrying to the scene to provide backup.
Both Kim and the suspect were taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
Blackwell praised officers' "valiant" attempts to save their fallen colleague's life. He asked the community to pray not only for Kim's family, but also for the department as a whole.
Kim was known as a friendly, familiar face around the neighborhood as a longtime District 2 officer. He was passionate about martial arts, having served as an instructor with Japanese Karate-Do for nearly 20 years. Blackwell described him as an exemplary officer, well liked and physically fit.
Capt. Jeff Butler, who worked closely with Kim in District 2, fought back tears as he spoke to reporters.
"Sonny Kim was the consummate police officer," he said.
City Manager Harry Black said the city would honor Kim as a hero.
"This is a stark reminder that all jobs are not created equal," Black said, adding that police officers "have the courage and conviction to do what many of us might not be prepared to do -- that is to sacrifice their lives if necessary."

In a March 2014 interview with the online karate magazine The Shotokan Way, he described how stressful his job as an officer was and how important he considered his training.

He said police trainers have a saying: "You will perform how you train."
"One must train hard and under pressure in a realistic environment," he said.

Kim is the 98th Cincinnati police officer to die in the line of duty -- the first since 2000.
"There's not much you can say," said CPD Chaplain Tyronne Patrick. "I let the officers talk to me. They have to do the talking. It's like losing a child."
Somber-faced officers embraced and consoled each other as it rained off and on at the shooting scene.
"My heart is just heavy for his family at this time," Sara Sheets, director of the Madisonville Community Urban Redevelopment Corp., said of Kim. Sheets has lived in Madisonville for 12 years.
Her home is a block from the shooting.

The police are under fire for a brutal beat down of two teens. A 12-year old girl had her face and ribs broken by police.
The Dayton Daily News reports that two adults and two children were arrested that day on charges of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after a large fight at the city-run pool on Augusta Boulevard. The individuals arrested refused to leave the premises after one youth was asked to leave because he was not wearing the proper swimming attire, according to police.
Fairfield police contend officers did nothing wrong.
Hilton disputed Fairfield officers account of the incident and showed a video of the family’s encounter captured by someone at the facility.
In the footage, where loud screams are heard throughout, an officer is seen pulling a young girl away from the crowd with his arm around her neck and arm as he puts her against a vehicle and pulls her arms behind her back. The girl screams throughout before finally saying, “Ok, Ok.” Another male officer is seen using pepper spray on a young girl who is clinging desperately to an iron gate as a female officer grabs her around the neck in an attempt to dislodge her. The officer can be heard shouting, “Just let go of the gate…Get off the gate.”
The incident is the latest of several across the nation that have called into question the conduct of officers towards African-Americans.
“I never want to be known as one that stands against police officers. I do my best to honor law enforcement as much as I possibly can. When I find there is a controversy between the truth and what individuals are saying, I must stand on the side of truth, no matter where that truth is,” Hilton said.
That day at the pool, Krystal Dixon, 33, took her children and some nieces and nephews to the pool, as they had done for many years. Dixon left and the kids, a total of eight, started swimming.
It was at that point that pool employees stopped one of Dixon’s nephews, saying he did not have proper attire on. Signs posted at the pool state that swimmers must wear proper swim attire. The nephew and Dixon’s daughter called Dixon and informed her they were told to leave. Krystal told the kids she was coming back and had the nephew’s swim trunks with her.
Hilton said it was only the nephew that did not have swimming attire; the other kids did.
When Dixon, who is pregnant, returned to the pool, the kids were “off the property” as had been demanded. Dixon went into the Aquatic Center to find out what was happening. She was told the nephew did not have proper attire, but got in the pool anyway.
What they done to that young girl was brutal. The press conference from
Dixon asked pool staff if she could have her money back and was told no. As she walked toward the pool area to get the kids, an officer attempted to grab Dixon and ask what she was doing. Fairfield police said one of the city’s park rangers was on site at the time. That ranger had handcuffs.
On the video, one of the kids asked, “What are you going to do with that?” The ranger responds, “I’m going to arrest you for not leaving.”
As Dixon was heading back out, a police officer asked her for an ID. Dixon said she didn’t have one, because she was wearing swimming attire. The officer grabbed Dixon by the arm, and that’s when the incident escalated, Hilton said. Multiple officers responded to the scene.
Hilton said a police officer grabbed the 12-year-old female “by the neck, slam her up against a police car, and this young lady, 12 years old, sustained multiple injuries,” Hilton said, though he would not specify what those injuries were.
Dixon told our news partner’s WCPO 9 On Your Side that her daughter sustained a broken jaw and three broken ribs.
Hilton said the video “clearly” shows the 12-year-old not assaulting an officer.
Hilton spoke at the Word Family Life Center, with Krystal and her sister Maya Dixon, of Columbus. Fairfield police arrested both of them, charging them with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
Police also arrested two juveniles, charging a 15-year-old boy with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, and charging a 12-year-old girl with assault and resisting arrest.
The Dixons are expected to answer to the charges in Fairfield Municipal Court Wednesday. One of their attorneys is Clyde Bennett, who represented controversial Hamilton County Juvenile Court Judge Tracie Hunter.
After investigating the case and looking a the video, Bennett said Tuesday it is “crystal clear Ms. Dixon did nothing wrong.”
“People will believe that if the officer tells you to do something, you automatically you must do it in the state of Ohio. The fact is that is not the law in the state of Ohio,” Bennett said. “Resisting arrest is when you resist a lawful arrest, so the police have to have a lawful reason for the arrest … In this case, there was no legal reason whatsoever to arrest Ms. Dixon.”
Some of the images that were captured by camera phone shows the police using forced restraint.
Bennett said he is not saying that is what happened in the Dixon case, but it is a part of law people do not understand.
Fairfield Police Chief Mike Dickey has watched the videos shown at the press conference Tuesday, and he said the videos support his contention that the officers did nothing wrong.
“I think those videos only reinforce the statements we made earlier. Our officers were in a difficult situation, and they handled it with restraint,” he said.
Hilton said the officers did not use restraint.
“Where did the officers show a lot of restraint? … This mother wasn’t out of control. She wasn’t over there cursing and refusing to make their kids leave .. she was prevented from leaving. Had that officer not grabbed her at that point, this incident would not have happened. Can police learned how to deescalate instead of escalate situations. This angers me,” he said, his voice rising.
Dickey countered that the videos show officers “being mobbed by individuals while trying to make an arrest after the folks they’re trying to deal with wouldn’t leave as directed … the accusations are not based based on what we’ve seen in the videos.”
The chief also pointed out the videos do not depict the entirety of the incident.
“We do know that some of the stuff that took place that prompted the entire incident was before the mother ever arrived,” he said. The video shown at the press conference begins with Krystal Dixon approaching Aquatic Center staff after she returned to the pool.
Court time for Krystal (left) and Maya Dixon. They claim that the law used unnecessary roughness towards them. They face a court date for disorderly conduct.
Hilton said this incident doesn’t just affect this family.
“It affects kids all over this county, all over the state, and all over this nation, and it needs to stop,” he said. “That’s why we need community policing reform. That’s why we need criminal justice reform.”
Hilton challenged people to look at the video.
“Please tell me where the kids are acting so bad. Please tell me where this mother, who’s pregnant, is acting so horrible,” he said. “They feed into this narrative that causes this to yet be a divided nation, and we have no business being divided by race.”
Hilton said when officers go to court to testify, “their word has always been taken over and above a defendant’s.
“But we have too many officers lying. Those officers knew these things were being videotaped, and they’re still going to report to you such lies,” he said. “This bothers me. I’m saddened and I’m hurt.”
Dickey said his department will review the incident, as it reviews all incidents regarding use of force.
“Every police officer receives conflict resolution training at the police academy, and every year there is in-service training on various topics … I can’t say we’ve had any kind of specific training of our officers on how to de-escalate in the middle of a fight while you’re trying to settle things down, but if you look at the officers’ conduct objectively, there is every effort being made to get this situation under control,” he said.
Hilton said when the family went back later to the police to make a report, they were told they could not make a report and had to talk to Dickey. It was at that point the family approached Hilton, he said.
When one of the pool’s employees called 911, she said, “They’re videotaping, trying to make it look like a racist thing, and it’s not at all. They were breaking our policies. We told them they couldn’t be here anymore, and it’s really scary and I don’t feel safe.” The employee then begins to break down and cry during the call.
Hilton said he heard the call and “people will look at situations and walk away with their own conclusions. Would she have had the same conclusion if all of them were white? I doubt it.”
The civil rights leaders and public are demanding answers to what happened.
Cue, the annoying conservative agitator. The biggest concern troll to ever exist in the media gathers his deck of cards and decides to pull out either Jesse Lee Peterson, Kevin Jackson, David Webb or Deenan Boreli.
These dancing fools are fixated on blaming the victim. If you're Black and you're brutalized by the police, expect the conservative agitators to automatically blame the president, the civil rights leaders and Black America.

The junk food media finds the only Black guy who claims he didn't see the White instigators call the teens a bunch of Black fuckers.
And like Sean Toon and his wife Shannon, Loserville failed to vet its guests.
Benet Embry is the new Black toy for the racist right. He claiming that thugs were fighting and they were jumping the fence at the pool in McKinney, Texas. He believes that Adrian Martin attacked the cop.
Embry is some blogger and internet radio host who wants his five minutes of fame.
Loserville promotes this garbage. And these bottom feeders are turning a clear cut situation into a political spectacle. I want to remind you that that annoying conservative agitator is the biggest concern troll to ever exist in the media. In a few years, that show will be a distant memory.
I guess while he was recording his internet radio show he must have missed the Toons and Tracey Carver-Allbritton shouting racial slurs at the teens. He must have confused the fighting between two women as mob violence.
The women who attacked that teen didn't get charged. But they got shamed.
Embry as like ex-cop Eric Casebolt play the victim. They cry about how they've gotten death threats online for telling the world that this incident wasn't about race.
Casebolt's attorney went to the junk food media to release Casebolt's statement on resignation. She tells the public glowing tales of him consoling a Black family after a man committing suicide. All the while missing his social media postings, the lawsuit against him and his police department and the numerous complaint brought up about him. So I seem to figure that buttering up an image for a tarnished career is a divisive ploy. A ploy the likes of that some on the racist right use to distract the real reason to why the public is outraged. That annoying conservative agitator plays the role quite nicely.
Tell that to the teens were were detained. Tell that to the teens who were verbally abused. Tell that to the teens who watched a hot headed cop pull a service weapon on them.
I am certainly not pleased that this brotha has the nerve to appear on these programs to say that he seen everything but missed the most important facts to this.
This example of token behavior is what I expect from the likes of Loserville's deck of Black commentators.
Like I've said so many times. I don't have to be nice to the cops. I don't have to be their friends.
I don't have to respect a cop. As long as I don't threaten the cop, I can say whatever I want to the cop.
Cops have a dangerous job. We all understand that. I respect all those in law enforcement.
But I also respect the rule of law. I am not immune to it nor is the cops. If you're a Black male, you have more fear of the law than a terrorist. The law has been systematically targeting Black men for years.
Damn shame that all them cries for better policing is muted by the agitators who say it's anti-cop.
They want gun rights for Whites. Gun control for Blacks, Hispanics and Muslims.
There are good cops and bad cops. The good ones don't ask for the glory. They don't go home thinking they've saved the world from the forces of evil. The bad cops seek the glory. They believe that the badge gives them the right to treat individuals anyway they want. They are the ones who lie to make a traffic stop, an arrest, a restraint or discharge of their service weapon.

Under the 4th, 5th and 8th Amendment, you have the right to not be searched by the law. You have a right to an attorney. You have a right to not speak to a cop to prevent self-incrimination. You have a right to tell an officer "are you free to go if you're not being arrested". You have a right to question an arrest or detainment. You have the right to call a superior or ask for a cop's badge number. You have a right not to be detained under cruel and unusual punishment.
You are allowed to film police. By you filming the police you can destroy the talking points cops release to the public.

The chief of McKinney Police said that Eric Casebolt's actions were disgusting.
If one thing has taught me about society and the ills that came along with it, I realize the media can really ruin a career. Seriously, a career in law enforcement down the drain because of a reckless call.
McKinney, Texas police issued a public statement. Eric Casebolt has resigned amid the controversial YouTube video of him slamming a teen to ground and pointing his service weapon on unarmed teens.
Chief Of Police Greg Conley announced Tuesday evening that Casebolt knew he was fucked! He condemned his actions and vows to correct the wrongs. The Huffington Post and KDFW has learned that this is an open investigation and the U.S. Justice Department is looking into it.
Casebolt's lawyer told KDFW earlier on Tuesday that the officer had decided to leave the force. Conley said that Casebolt's decision to leave was voluntary and that he would continue to collect a pension and benefits.
Conley strongly condemned Casebolt's actions during the incident and said that the officer, who had been with the department since 2005, was "out of control."
As the chief of police, I want to say to our community that the actions of Casebolt, as seen on the video, of the disturbance at the pool, are indefensible. Our policies, our training, our practice do not support his actions," he said. "He came into the call out of control, and as the video shows, was out of control during the incident."
Conley also said on Tuesday that charges against 18-year-old Adrian Martin, the only person arrested at the pool party incident, had been dropped.
Casebolt had been placed on administrative leave after video of the incident went viral. That internal investigation has ended because Casebolt is no longer employed by the police department, according to Terry Qualls, a police department spokesperson. There is an ongoing investigation to determine whether Casebolt should face criminal charges.
Police said in a statement on Sunday that they were responding to reports of a disturbance at the Craig Ranch North Community Pool on Friday. Casebolt was caught on video wrestling a young black teenager to the ground and then pulling his weapon on others who ran to help the girl.
Some real shit going on in Texas.
Of course, our racist right friends are so fixated on calling a bunch of teens "THUGS".
Thug is the new NIGGER. The racist right has been invested in making this notion that despite a few White people racially agitating the event, the agitators have already fingered the teens.
Pathetic concern trolls like this asshole Todd Starnes. He's a fixture on Loserville and he's like that annoying conservative agitator but a whole lot worse.
And also the nasty remarks from these Twitter twats....
Our friends at Addicting Info have gotten the worse for you.
And some of the best.
The world is watching how our conservative friends reacts police brutality against Black people. They treat men of color, women of color, people in the LGBT community, practicing Muslims and immigrants who are trying to achieve the American dream as criminals, deviants, and everything else they can pull from their asses.

The agitators claim North Texas cop Eric Casebolt scrubbed his social media after accusations of unprofessional conduct.
Just in case I don't forget: Concern trolling cuts both ways. Liberals do it too. But in the wake of high profile incidents involving cops and the Black community, the concern trolls MUST find something else to talk about.
I do not engage in trolling online. I don't like being engaged with assholes who are probably paid consultants. The concern trolls are swamping blogs looking to pick fights with others. Soon as they see a comment they disagree with, they'll respond and bait you into a debate.
Now a resident who was seen with a sign saying "McKinney supports the police" took to social media to claim he was there and the media "blew it up!"
PLEASE HELP! That (now viral) video of the officer in McKinney subduing a girl in a bathing suit was in OUR neighborhood. The situation was NOT what is being reported…
A DJ setup in a public space next to the private pool in our neighborhood on Friday and played loud explicit (F-bomb) music for multiple hours (it is unclear if he was invited by a resident as no one has claimed responsibility). The teenagers (both black and white) were being brought into our neighborhood by the carload because the DJ was tweeting out invites to a “pool party” for $15 (obviously unauthorized by our neighborhood). The teens began fighting with each other and pushing their way into our private pool. Some were jumping our fence. The security guard was accosted when he tried to stop the beginnings of this mob scene. Some residents who live around the park/pool area tried to come out and settle things down. The teens started yelling racial slurs at our neighbors and started assaulting people and property (throwing bottles at cars and attacking a mother at the pool with 3 young children). The first officer on the scene was by himself.
At that time, the party had grown to a large, aggressive crowd. As the officer arrived, many teens started running through our neighborhood. Many of the teens were being very aggressive and yelling at the officers as more arrived.
This was a very dangerous situation for the officers AND the teens/residents not involved. The news media has refused to hear the neighborhood’s side of this story. The video being distributed is only a very small segment of what happened. This information being distributed by the media and others is extremely distorted and in some cases outright lies.
PLEASE HELP US STOP THE BROADCASTING OF THIS IGNORANCE. The media is trying to make it look like our neighborhood is a white’s only, racist area. Anyone who has spent even a few minutes in our area knows this is an outright LIE.
One #McKinneyTX resident visibly and vocally supporting the officers, says he saw whole thing Friday. pic.twitter.com/19nd1xXfiT— Lauren Zakalik (@wfaalauren) June 7, 2015Again the concern troll....trying to debunk the video clearly showing the cop pushing a bikini clad teenage girl on the ground.
The officer is put on ice. Eric Casebolt has to answer to his superiors and will have probably have a police union rep with him in his possible cannon firing.
McKinney Police were called to a disturbance where a woman and teen were getting into a verbal and physical confrontation. The Black teens were there for a pool party at a community pool. The pool was crowd and some of the teens were at the party were not residents.
The pool party got a little too Black. Some Black and White teens claim that a White woman agitated the event by saying racial charged statements. There was a fight that occurred and the cops were called.
What made the junk food media and partisan agitators crow were the actions of that cop. He immediately slammed the head of two of the teens to the ground. One of the young teen who was identified as Dajerria Becton and her parents want the cop fired out the cannon. She was filmed in a bikini being slammed to the ground. In the video, she was crying for her mom and the cop told her to put her fucking head on the ground. The cop place his legs on her back and neck.
The NAACP are calling for the Texas Department of Safety and U.S. Justice Department to do an investigation.
What was seen on film disputes the cop's dash camera. McKinney officers didn't have body cameras.
And what is seen justifies a violation of civil rights for the Black teens. Out of most of the teens, one was arrested. The rest were returned to custody of their parents.
The media's agitators in particular are expressing the very things I've hate. The rush to judgement and the "verb" theories.
Some say that the cop was using excessive force. They believe that this incident along with numerous others prove a systematic occurrence of police brutality towards the Black community.
Some say that it was justified. Others believe that the teens in the video were "THUGS" and shouldn't have back talked to the law.
Hence, thug is the new NIGGER.
You have a right to talk back to cops. They can't arrested you if you're upset at an event. Although it's not recommended for you to backtalk to cops, you are given to right to do so. It's not illegal to disrespect a public servant.
For Black people, it's illegal to talk back to a cop. For Black people being at a pool in a nearly White neighborhood is a crime. I guess a large group of Black teens is a mob according to the racial agitators.
Concern trolls are false flag individuals who disrupt the discussion with other issues. Already conservatives are trying to debunk the video and say that the people were uninvited.
Say if a handful of people call the McKinney Texas incident a travesty. Others believe that it's proven that if you're Black and young, you're a natural born criminal according to the law and the partisan agitators.
Heavy.com, Buzzfeed, and Little Green Football unearthed the social media habits of Casebolt.
Casebolt has been accused of harboring deceitful social media. Some videos on his now scrubbed YouTube page include the controversial Milwaukee sheriff David Clarke trashing on Black residents in his community.
The racist right agitator Jim Hoft created The Gateway Pundit and he and asshat Colin Flaherty are already trying to find "facts".
If you've been profiled by the police, drop us a line.
If you've been discriminated by a business, drop us a line.
Have you been called a racial slur? Drop us a line.
